Hypocrites is a strong word, but when I email seemingly caring politicians about an obvious problem that affects children, why did most not bother to reply?

Now I can see why I didn't get a reply from MP Perrett  and the reply I recieved from  MP Maxine Mckew's office.

No reply to my 3 emails from MP Graham Perrett.

I wonder if the Minister's mother approved of the "Lasting Longer in the bedroom" radio ads seeing she thought her son's book was "way too rude, very vulgar"

No the prime minister wasn't referring to the sex ads that  I emailed him  about, but his reaction to photos to be on exibition at an art gallery.

I might be going to the v8s on the weekend!

STEFANOVIC: As a Dad how do they make you feel, those photos?

PM: Rudd

"I’ve just said, it's the first time I've seen them, I find them absolutely revolting. Kids deserve to have the innocence of their childhood protected. I have a very deep view of this. For god sake, let's just allow kids to be kids. Whatever the artistic view or the merits of that sort of stuff, frankly I don't think there are any. Just allow kids to be kids you know."

It's a pity that such feelings aren't expressed about the saturation inappropriate advertising that affects so many kids and adults, not just those that might visit an art gallery.

5 Oct 08      Mr Henson is in the news again with more "outrage" from Mr Rudd and Mr Turnbull (who actually owns some of Mr Henson's photos.)

Minister Julie Gillard also commented on the new Hensen revealations

Tonight  (Sun 29th June) on the Channel Nine News Mr Rudd also used the words "absolutely revolting" when commenting on recent child neglect cases.

Mr Rudd said 6th July '08

"I have very deep, strong, personal views on this, which is that we should be on about maximising the protection of children."

No he wasn't talking about advertising but about a child portrayed in an art magazine (to see article see link )

Where's his outrage on the obvious failure of self regulation in the advertising  and magazine industry?

GORDON Ramsay's comments about Tracy Grimshaw were "off" and represented a new form of low life, Prime Minister Kevin Rudd says.

Mr Rudd congratulated Grimshaw for giving Ramsay a "left uppercut" in responding to his offensive comments about her looks and her sexuality at a Melbourne food and wine show at the weekend.

MR. SAM NEWMAN  COMMENTATOR ON THE MELBOURNE FOOTY SHOW ALLEDGEDLY SAID SOMETHING INAPPROPRIATE ON THAT LATE NIGHT TV SHOW

                                        Sams comment article

                                                                 MR SAM NEWMAN

I couldn't get much of a response when I asked ministers for an opinion on sex ads on daytime radio that young children are subjected to, but ask what they think of a boof head comment on late night TV and you get the above.

But there again it was a fellow politician that was supposedly defiled, not innocent impressionable young children.

                                           Today in the Sunday paper

Prime Minister Rudd was invited to a dinner to highlight the importance of protecting children from cyber bullying.

I had no acknowledge to my first two emails from Mr Rudd's office oncerning the need to protect children from inappropriate radio and billboard advertising, children  not even old enough to be cyber bullied.

Between now and the next election I'm sure to source  lot more material that can be added  to this category

This little kitten would make a good pet for a politician.

21/1/09  Judging from this article in The Daily Telegraph, it seems to be a case of  do as I say not as I do  for our Prime Minister.
